Head north along quiet mountain road through rice terraces and villages to the cool mountain resort of Bedugul. Stop and see a traditional fruit and vegetable market, then to Lake Beratan with its picturesque Ulun Danu Temple, continue to Gitgit waterfall, Singaraja - the former capital of the Lesser Sunda Island (during the Dutch colonial time) and stop at the beach resort of Lovina to take a rest. On the way back, you will again pass traditional villages, beautiful mountain roads, coffee and clove plantations.
